HI. My name is Tony Curl and I have a real concern with the State of Men's Health. I know so many of my friends and mates, and see hundreds of others that carry that extra weight around their guts. The badge of honour called a Beer Gut. Unhealthy is a nice way to say it. An absolute killer is another. I want everyone to know my story and for you to realise that YOU can change your life and improve your health. Transform your life, all you need is the desire to change.
Please read MY STORY first, then click through the pages. Would love to hear from others and only too willing to help anyone who takes the step to help themselves. Overall I have lost over 29kg, transformed my life and now have kept it off for over twelve months. The proof that you can still drink beer and transform your body.

Carb Detox Day 2

Day 2 of my carb detox and I must say I feel good. Sticking to the basics of Protein only with eggs, tuna and tonight some lean red meat. Walked both evening and morning and even managed a resistance workout this evening. With everything going on, it feels good to be back in some form of control. Looking forward to weigh-in on Thursday to see of the Detox has worked it's magic again.

How Things Change!!!!

My last post, talked about the optimism and plans for 2011. Early in January they were waylaid, by a little thing called the Brisbane River...or more specifically it's tributary, the Oxley Creek. The photo above is the store I manage, and with the January 2011 floods, flooded inside to a level just over 2.1m.

I was on holidays in Yamba at the time and funnily enough flooded in by the mighty Clarence River, so while nothing that I could have done would have saved the place, it was more than a feeling of uselessness sitting some 300km south. Needless to say, a lot of beer was drunk.

Needless to say, I was shocked to see the damage that water can do to a big hardware shop like mine. Our cleanup and rebuild is underway and I have a hectic couple of months ahead. We expect to re-open in March.

Finally, I started my carb detox today. When I was being updated in Yamba, every time I was told not to worry and to have a beer. Advice I took. I have gained a few kilos and it is time to tart again. Many thoughts in my head on whether I can stay compliant during the next few months, but believe that at least when I can control my food, I should. Stay tuned for further updates.

2011 Will be An Amazing Year

I hope that everyone is well and has recovered from their NYE hangovers. I hope that everyone is facing 2011 with a great hope and optimism. Personally, my ecoli-bug that I picked up pre-Christmas is still letting me know it is around and I really do hope that is well and truly passed before my upcoming holidays in Yamba, NSW.

When I return from Yamba,I will be starting a refreshed fat-loss program to drop the unwanted kilos that I may be picking up at the moment. Even though I have been sick, it seems that I have craved sweet stuff, plus combined with little exercise has left me vulnerable to some gain. So, starting January 24 will be a no-holds-bar approach over a five weeks period to drop 6-8 kilos. I will blog daily on food, exercise and keep everyone updated with weights and measures. February Fire-Up and I am ready to go.
